A fitness assessment is a series of tests performed by a personal trainer before providing training services, in order to determine a client’s physical fitness level.
Fitness assessments don’t take a lot of time to complete and can provide valuable information to help you get to know your client better. The results indicate your client’s current health and fitness status and their strengths and weaknesses, to help you personalize their program as their trainer and set attainable fitness goals. It also provides a baseline by which you can measure your client’s progress, this may increase their motivation and commitment to it.
Also, when you are aware of your client’s mobility, strength, endurance, or balance results, it may help you decrease the risk of injury in the future.
