Self talk can be extremely useful for increasing your clients’ performance, and it’s an essential that your clients will know how to encourage themselves through the act of talking to themselves during an exercise. 

Your clients enter the studio/gym, with a different mindset each time, and they won’t always feel their best, which could affect their performance and motivation to go through the workout. However, when they practice the self talk technique, and know how to naturally use the skill of encourage themselves, it can be very beneficial to their progress and workout performance. Self-talk enhances self-confidence and reduces cognitive anxiety. An increase in self-confidence leads to increased performance.
